A group of 22 talented designers and makers were selected to represent Scotland at the specially designed Scotland Craft and Design pavilion at the London Design Fair. Scotland Craft and Design showcased traditional craft methods as well as the use of new digital technologies by designers and makers from across Scotland.

The curated collection of glass, textiles, furniture, lighting and ceramics was enjoyed by a diverse and enthusiastic audience. Further innovation was installed in the courtyard by students from the Edinburgh College of Art who constructed a craft-inspired timber roof-like structure and wooden furniture.

Given the great effort required to organise and present the work of the Scottish designers and makers, Craft Scotland were keen to have a record of the event. While the sheer number of items on display from all of the designers and makers presented a challenge, interviews with designers and organisers combined well to provide an insight into the event.
